Since working with KBAS Bookkeeping, we have seen our business grow. Established in 2015, we have built a reputation as one of Caloundra’s favourite places. CHILL Café 89 offers waterfront inspired dining to the Sunshine Coast with absolute beachfront & views of Kings Beach, Bribie Island and the Pumicestone Passage. Karen and her team have been very supportive and proactive, helping us identify opportunities for growth.
We have used different systems and technology to increase trade and profitability through many of the initiatives KBAS Bookkeeping has helped us implement. The Restaurant seats up to 80 people, including indoor and outdoor dining options and the capacity for large functions. Working with KBAS bookkeeping has meant more growth in customers and a better experience for us as business owners, knowing the strategies we have implemented are working. The KBAS Bookkeeping team has given us the direct advice and strategy that has allowed us to flourish. We have evolved into a restaurant serving an all-day menu from 6:00 am, including breakfast + lunch every day, and dinner until 8 pm on Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights.

We started working with Chil Café 89 in 2019, and it has been such a rewarding experience to watch them grow and flourish into the successful business and café they are today. We manage all aspects of their bookkeeping with Xero, payroll for their team of 30 staff, reporting and compliance. We have built a great relationship with the management team and catch up with them monthly to review what is happening and the café, looking for opportunities and identifying risks.
As a result, we have implemented systems and processes that have grown the bottom line as well as the sales within the business. We have seen them transition to a new accountant and have formed a great team managing the business. With further software technology improvements on the horizon, we expect to be able to take Chill Café 89, where the chill is accurate, to the next level.
