Xero has made some significant changes to the subscription plans—for the Better. We have outlined a few of the changes here so you can better understand them moving forward. These changes will not come into effect until 1 July 2024, so we have a little bit of time to adjust the News!!

Xero has refreshed its plan lineup to help ensure our needs are met well into the future. From 1 July 2024, Xero is launching three new streamlined business plans (Xero Ignite, Xero Grow, and Xero Comprehensive) and enhancing the Ultimate plan in Australia.

That means easier access to tools (including cash coding in all of the new business plans), more bundled features, and fewer plans and add-ons to navigate. The new plans will replace Xero’s Payroll Cashbook, GST Cashbook, Payroll Only, Starter, Standard and Premium plans which will no longer be sold from 1 July 2024. Existing add-ons will no longer be available for separate purchase from this date. Any new clients from 1 July 2024 can only be added to a new plan. Enhancements to Ultimate plans will also begin from this date, which includes Xero Expenses and Xero Projects for 10 instead of the current 5.

We all should be reviewing our pricing regularly to reflect the significant increases in employment costs and to make sure our businesses remain viable with a healthy profit margin. We also need to pivot with the times and refresh our service offerings, and Xero is no different. We have reviewed a new software offering that may be a viable option for some very small options, but it has none of the features and useability of Xero. We have also reviewed the offerings from alternative suppliers of software and Xero still remains very competitive in it’s pricing and quality of its software.
